AUTODESIGN performs intelligent integrated finite-element analysis anddesign optimization. The design process is integrated, fromconceptual/preliminary design to final design/optimization, with seamlessinterface to AutoCAD, and IGES interface to other CAD packages. Finite-element model can be developed from within AutoCAD.Expert advice is available through use of artificial intelligence for themajor steps in the analysis and design process. An object-orientedenvironment is used. Finite-element versions H and P are available forstatic, thermal, and dynamic analyses can be performed. Sensitivityanalysis and interactive design optimization can be carried out.
